Pioneer III

Again everyone was early and off we went. On board was the dynamic duo from Berkley Heights, NJ. Mike and Kathy Millilo, Evz, Mr. October, Rogee, Rebecca broken toe. and Big Tom. The longest out going tide ever made fishing very difficult. Mr. October was the first to dirty the cooler followed by Rogee. Kathy put 2 in the box as did Mr. October then Evz added one. The star of the day was big Tom who came out of his slump and boxed the pool winning fish that tip the scale at about 4lbs.
Doing it again Thursday July 4th. 2 openings available. Call the Capt.

Pioneer III

Another great day on the water. Left early as everyone was there. Arrived at the first spot and we found a very fast tide because of the full moon and off we went. Stopped a few times on the way to the ocean and NOTHING but shorts. Good action but nothing to dirty the cooler and off we went. Got offshore and Rogee boxed a 3.12lber. followed by Mr. October with a 3.2lber. We ended the day with 5 keepers. Rogee was high hook with 2, Mr. October had 1, Felix had 1 and the Capt. had 1 also. Broken toe Klinger from NYC, Evz and Big Tom Anderson tried their best but only managed shorts for the day. Rogee took the big bucks today and donated his fish to the hardy people.
Yes we are doing it all again next Sunday.

Another great day on the water, mostly overcast all day. First stop we had a surprise. Weakfish,
yes sea trout. The boat limited in weakfish to 6lbs by 9:15 AM. We also had 11 keeper fluke by 8:30 AM. 2 limits we had by Rogee and Rebecca followed by Evz with 3 and the big money winner with and 8.2lber. Off to the mall for her. Mr. October, Felix and Tom K. from Byram, NJ also contributed to the fluke catch. The Pioneer III would like to wish a happy Fathers Day to all the fathers that fish with us. And yes we will doing it all again next Sunday. The RR is going tomorrow and might send a report.

Pioneer III

Left the dock at 6:30 because everyone was there. Fishing by 7:00 and the first spot produced 8 keepers to 5lbs. What a day. Fishing slowed and off we went and went and went. We covered of territory. South wind picked up and we headed towards home. The Capt. decided to stop in the same place we did in the am. Happy to say Mr. October not only took the big bucks but boxed the largest fluke of the year so far. It tip the scale at exactly 10lbs. Big Tom boxed 2, Skippy also had 2 as did Mr. October. Rebecca, Roger and Evz had one each. And yes we will do it all again next Sunday (Fathers Day).

Absolutely a great day to be on the water. Today we had Kenny and his son Corey from Western Pennsylvania, Capt. Fred (tugboat) Frable, Bob, Pete and Mr. October. Stopped for bass Kenny boxed the first keeper followed by Mr. October with another one. Decided to look for the fluke and off we went. Got off Coney Island and nothing but dogs and other garbage. Started moving around and still nothing to write home about. Heading toward home we stopped in the same place we did last Sunday and bang. In five short drifts we boxed 12 fish to 4 3/4 lbs. Mr. October had the big one and took the cash. Yes we are going to do it again Sunday.

Pioneer III

The Gaspars took over the Pioneer III today. It would have been a great day to be a duck until around 11:00 AM when the rain quit and a couple of fish started to bite. Capt. Andy was the first to dirty the cooler followed by little George Gaspar with the pool winning bass. Mr. October also boxed one.  George Sr. and Uncle Andy Gaspar managed only shorts. Lost tide and off to the fluke. Hoping to continue from yesterdays last 4 drifts where we had 10 keepers. NO!! that did not happen. The sky was getting very dark and home ward bound we headed. And yes we are going to do it all again Wednesday with Capt. Fred from West Milford, NJ.

Pioneer III

Booking agent screwed up and Evz was left at the dock, over booked. Everyone wants to fish. Off we went, had tide and was looking for bass by 7:30. Stayed until we lost the tide with Mr. October getting 2 shorts and Rogee getting a small blue that was lost at the boat. Off looking for the fluke and our outstanding mate Michael boxed the first one. Looked all over the regular spots and a couple of new ones and nothing but shorts, sea robins and dogs. Headed back to a few spots and finally found them. Rogee boxed 3, Mr. October boxed 2 including a 5 lber that took the big bucks. Big Tom, Felix, Skippy and Rebecca also added one to the box. All the fluke came in the last hour of the day. Michael was on top of every fish with the net. Big Tom dress in his foul weather gear and his winter boots and wondered why he was feeling like he was in a sauna. Oh well. you can't make this up. Doing it all again tomorrow.
